Projects and manifestations

SICA is regularly involved in joint presentations of Dutch cultural activities and manifestations abroad, working closely together with the sector institutes, cultural funds, Dutch embassies and consulates as well as with cultural organisations and artists. 

SICA’s role in these kinds of projects varies from coordinating the programming to organising communications within the Netherlands. Some projects are part of a multi-year trajectory focusing on strategic priorities in the Netherlands’ international cultural policy. 

SICA aims to further intensify cultural collaboration with a number of specific regions, with such varying motives as cultural exchange, market expansion, cultural diplomacy, reflection and curiosity. There is specific attention for the Middle East and the Arab world and the emerging economic superpowers China, Brazil, Russia and Turkey.
