Visiting guests: Belisa Rodigrues (SA) and Lassana Igo Diarra (ML)

SICA and the Utrecht School of the Arts organise a visitors programme for two cultural professionals who are active in the Arterial Network in Africa.

The visitors are: Belisa Rodrigues, General Manager of the African Arts Institute in Cape Town who also manages the day to day operations of the Arterial Network and Lassana Igo Diarra, a cultural manager and consultant in Mali who acts as the West African Secretariat of Arterial. Arterial is a continent-wide network of non-government organisations, creative industry companies, festivals and individual artists engaged in the African creative and cultural sectors.

Their visit is composed of meetings with Dutch cultural organisations involved in crowdfunding, cultural management, networks, etc. The visitors are also speakers at the Creative Grounds conference of the Utrecht School of the Arts which will be held from 21 to 23 March 2012 in Utrecht.
